Yuen Woo-Ping choreographed the epic, hypnotic smackdowns for The Matrix trilogy, Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Now, the Chinese fight choreographer is getting his stateside due with a tribute at Austin’s Fantastic Fest.
The Texas action film festival will honor Woo-Ping with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Sept. 25 at the world premiere of his new martial arts flick, True Legend. The movie features Jay Chou, who plays Kato in the upcoming Green Hornet movie.
