Top TV comedy writers from shows like The Simpsons, SNL, Fallon, Colbert, Futurama, IT Crowd and more have gotten together to “novelize” the Matrix, which is narrated by celebrities from Matthew Mercer to Triumph the Insult Comic Dog in a new podcast called The Novelizers.
Each week on the show features another scene from the film – from start to finish – novelized by a different writer and narrated by a different celebrity. Other narrators include Rob Delaney, David Javerbaum (The Tweet of God), Tom Scharpling, Dan Savage, Brennan Lee Mulligan, John Hodgman, Alison Pill, Ophira Eisenberg, Scott Aukerman, June Diane Raphael and Richard Ayoade. Plus, each episode features an improv interview with someone who (may or may not have) worked on the original film.
Past films novelized on the podcast include Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan and Independence Day. Listen to “The Novelizers” wherever you get your podcasts, or at podfollow.com/novelizers.
