In a trailer for the upcoming sleight of Warner Brothers films releasing in 2021, they showed logos for their entire lineup. In that line-up was the first time we saw the logo for The Matrix 4.
I still believe this to be a working title for the film. They don’t want to give anything away about what the movie will be about until they release the first teaser for the movie sometime soon.
The movie wrapped production a few weeks ago, and is now deep into post production, with editing, and special effects work, sound, music, and pick-up shots probably scheduled to happen sometime mid-2021, which is standard practice for movies like this so that they can change things that they didn’t see until they had a working edit of the movie to look at.
The Matrix 4 will release December 22, 2021 simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max.
