This morning, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked by apparent “terrorists.” In wake of this incident, movie news will be put on hold.

Out of respect to the families and in memory and honor of the victims of Tuesday’s tragedy, IGN will not update. Somehow writing about video games and comics and movies seems kind of pointless and empty in the face of the suffering endured by so many Americans today. It’s difficult to conceive of the magnitude of the tragedy, even for those who have been affected on a profoundly personal level, but the scope, circumstances and timing of the disaster are certainly without precedent and we offer our sincerest condolences to the victims and their families.
We’ll most likely be back to our regular update schedule tomorrow. In the meantime, please join us by extending your sympathy or prayers to the people who are still suffering in the shadow of this catastrophe. Early speculation on causes or consequences is premature; the important thing now is to find ways to lessen the pain for those whom the tragedy has hit hardest.
