Natalie Portman is in final negotiations to star in the big screen adaptation of Alan Moore’s acclaimed graphic novel ‘V for Vendetta’.
Variety reports that the film will be produced by ‘The Matrix’ makers the Wachowski brothers, with their first assistant director, James McTeigue, making his full directorial debut.
‘V for Vendetta’ takes place in a totalitarian England and follows a lone terrorist who is taking revenge on those responsible for a secret concentration camp.
Portman would play the young woman he’s either rescued or kidnapped from the secret police to join him.
The film is due to begin shooting in March in Berlin, with an autumn release planned.
