Matrix Training

Keanu Reeves has been talking about the training he must endure for the back-to-back Matrix sequels projects. While talking to Empire Online, Reeves spoke of the demands upon him and the rest of the cast, saying, “I’m there Monday through Friday from nine-thirty to five. Basically, you come in in the morning and work with the Hong Kong action team, the fight choreographers. You come in in the morning and you stretch for about an hour and a half. And then you kick, you go through a series of exercises that you do every day. And then after that you go into specialized training: every person gets another person to work with…and you go through whatever particular training you need for the fights. And then after that, generally, we do choreography, which is learning the fights, and then we do wire work.”
